Two arrested over sexual abuse at children's home
GoogleTwo people have been arrested as part of an investigation into historical child sex abuse at a council-run children's care home in Bradford.
A 63-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman were arrested at addresses in Bradford and Manchester on 10 September and released on bail, according to West Yorkshire Police.
The force said two men and three women claimed to have been sexually abused at Saxton Avenue Children's Home in the 1980s and 1990s when they were aged between seven and 16.
Det Ch Insp Chantel Markham urged anyone who had been a victim of sexual abuse to report it to police
She said: "These arrests form part of our ongoing commitment to investigate both current and non-recent sexual offences against children.
"Safeguarding and protecting children is a top priority for us in West Yorkshire."
Saxton Avenue Children's Home was renamed in 2014 to the Acres and has since closed and is no longer operating.
