The 12-day search of a home on Crowngreen Road, Eccles, uncovered a shotgun, handgun, machete and ammunition by digging up the lawn, Greater Manchester Police said.
David White, of Crowngreen Road, has been charged with two counts of possession of a firearm, one count of possession of ammunition, possession of an offensive weapon in a private place and possession of Class B drugs.
