E-scooter rider seriously injured in crash with car

A man has suffered serious injuries after an e-scooter was involved in a crash with a car in Kirkcaldy.

The 49-year-old was taken to hospital following the collision involving a black Vauxhall Corsa and the scooter at the crossroads of Dunniker Road, Lauder Road and Wilson Avenue at about 13:30 on Tuesday.

Police closed the road for about three hours before it reopened at about 16:40.

Sgt Lee Walkingshaw said inquiries into the crash were ongoing and appealed for anyone with dashcam footage to come forward and share it with officers.
