Fire crews remain at the scene of a fire near the Forth Bridge - more than 18 hours after it was reported.

Crews worked through the night to extinguish the flames after being called to an area of North Queensferry, near the Fife Coastal Path, at about 20:00 on Monday.

At its height, flames and smoke could be seen from across the Firth of Forth, but no casualties were reported.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said a crew remained on site to carry out dampening work on Tuesday afternoon, but the main fire was no longer burning.
