Three women have been arrested after one of them was seriously injured following a fight in Buxton.

Derbyshire Police said the fight, which involved three women, took place at about 19:00 BST on Thursday in Dale Terrace.

The force said two of the women, both in their 20s, were taken to hospital and arrested on suspicion of affray and assault.

Police said a third woman, who is in her 30s, was arrested on suspicion of section 18 grievous bodily harm, and had been released on conditional police bail while inquiries continued.

Officers said they were keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the fight - and anyone who saw a grey Volkswagen Golf crash into a wall in Dukes Drive, near the caravan park, shortly after 19:00.
