Wife pays tribute to motorcyclist killed in bus crash
Sussex PoliceThe wife of a motorcyclist who was killed in a crash in West Sussex has said that her husband is "missed beyond words".
Valera Sharavara, 39, who lived in Crawley, died after his motorbike was involved in a collision with a bus in The Boulevard shortly after 20:20 BST on 4 June.
Paying tribute, his wife said: "It is with the heaviest hearts that we honour the incredible life of Valera – a devoted husband, a proud father and a truest friend."
She said that her husband, born in Ukraine, had brought "strength, warmth and integrity into this world", describing him as her "rock and soulmate" for 21 years.
'True cornerstone'
She said that her husband's greatest pride and joy had been his "three wonderful boys", adding: "Valera poured his whole heart into being a dad, and his love, guidance and spirit will live on forever through his sons."
Describing him as a "deeply loved son, a cherished brother and a true cornerstone to his close circle of friends", she added: "He was a man who always put his family first and could always be counted on by those fortunate enough to know him."
Sussex PolicePolice have appealed for help to identify the driver of a white Mercedes who may have witnessed the crash.
Officers said that the vehicle was travelling west along The Boulevard shortly before the collision, but officers have so far been unable to identify or speak to the driver.
Det Sgt Ian Foxton said: "If you were driving this vehicle, or if you recognise it and know who was driving it at the time, please get in touch."
