Det Insp Tom Littlewood said it had been focused on wanted offenders suspected of causing "some of the greatest harm in our communities".
As result of the arrests made between 21 May and 10 June, seven people were charged with a number of offences, a force spokesperson confirmed.
"Protecting children and tackling violence against women and girls remain key priorities for the force and we are committed to safeguarding vulnerable victims and bringing offenders to justice," said Littlewood.
"We continue to encourage victims to come forward and report abuse, safe in the knowledge that all reports will be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly," he added.
