Warning after anti-social behaviour rise in village
GooglePolice have issued a warning after an increase in anti-social behaviour including fires, criminal damage and indecent exposure in a village in Derbyshire.
Bolsover and Clowne Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said there had been a rise in crime involving young people in Creswell.
The policing team said this included threats, assaults, criminal damage, fires, as well as vulnerable and elderly residents being targeted.
Police said the behaviour was "extremely concerning" and added "appropriate action" would be taken.
'Strong community'
A spokesperson for the policing team said: "Parents and guardians are reminded that you are responsible for your children's behaviour.
"We ask that you speak with them about showing respect and behaving appropriately within the community.
"Early intervention at home can make a significant difference. Creswell is a strong community, and the behaviour of a minority is not what we stand for.
"It's important to recognise that many young people in the area are a credit to Creswell - let's all work together to keep our community safe and friendly for everyone."
