Shopworker 'shaken' after man with gun robs filling station

A filling station employee has been left shaken after being held at gunpoint by a masked man.

The armed robbery happened at a bureau de change in the station in Middletown in County Armagh.

It happened on the Monaghan Road on Saturday at about 13:00 BST.

He demanded money from an employee, who police say was not hurt.

Police believe the suspect, who was wearing a hood and had his face covered, was carrying a small handgun.

The man then left the scene in a blue Volkswagen Passat.

Police have appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened, or who has any information to contact them.
