Public asked to comment on plans for St Martin
GooglePeople are being invited to comment on plans formulated by the local community for redeveloping St Martin's parish.
The Community Plan for St Martin has been published by a local independent committee in consultation with parish residents following months of public engagement and includes proposals for green spaces, housing and traffic and pedestrian improvements.
The committee said the plan was a "statement of aspiration on behalf of the community of St Martin".
The Development & Planning Authority said it would consider approving the plans for supplementary planning guidance if they were supported by the wider community without reasonable objections.
The plans include a community park, new footpaths, housing development sites, pedestrian crossings and a children's playground.
The Community Plan for St MartinThe authority said community plans set out how people who live, work and spend time in the area would like to see it change in the future.
"Community plans are taken into account by the authority when assessing proposals for development within the area and also help developers understand the types of development which will be supported by the local community," it said.
The closing date for comments is Wednesday 26 August 2026.
