Man pleads not guilty to rape and murder of woman
Family handoutA 36-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to three counts of the rape and murder of an 81-year-old woman.
Edward Holden is accused of murdering Jenny Firth at a bungalow in the village of Ashton, near Helston, on 29 May.
Holden, of Alexandra Place, Penzance, appeared via a video link from prison at Truro Crown Court on Tuesday.
A trial date has been set for 23 November and Holden was remanded in custody.
