Woman had head injury and stab wound, inquest told
Laura Foster/BBCA woman whose death has led to a murder investigation had a traumatic head injury and a stab wound to the chest, an inquest heard.
Thames Valley Police said the body of Achamma John, 58, was found after officers were called to a property on East Moor Drive in Wolverton Mill, Milton Keynes, at about 18:00 BST on 24 May.
A 58-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been detained under the Mental Health Act.
The force said the cause of death had been revealed at an inquest that was opened and adjourned at Milton Keynes Coroner's Court on Monday.
Laura Foster/BBCDet Ch Insp Will Crowther said: "We are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
"We request that the family's privacy is respected at this extremely difficult time. Our family liaison officers continue to support them."
The man has been detained under section two of the Mental Health Act.
It means a person can be held in a hospital while their mental health is assessed.
