Second boy approached in park a day after abduction
Dudley CouncilA seven-year-old boy being approached and threatened by a suspicious man was "potentially being linked" to the abduction of another child just the day before, police say.
The boy was playing at Stevens Park, off Thorns Road in Quarry Bank, Dudley, at about 17:55 BST on Friday.
He was asked if he wanted to ride the man's bike and when the child said no he was threatened, but not physically harmed.
It comes after a four-year-old boy was reportedly abducted about three-and-half miles away in Haden Hill Park, Cradley Heath on Thursday while his mother tended to a baby.
The child went missing for several minutes before being found in nearby woodland.
GoogleThe most recent suspect has been described as being mixed race with dark brown afro style hair, while wearing a T-shirt and shorts and riding a dark blue bike.
The person alleged to be involved in the Haden Hill abduction was described as being in his late teens, black, short in height and with curled hair.
He was clean shaven and wore black clothing.
West Midlands Police said it was reviewing CCTV at both locations, and appealed for any witnesses to approach the force.
"We're potentially linking the two incidents but we are keeping an open mind," a statement said.
"We understand how concerning incidents of this nature can be and we're working tirelessly on the investigation and to establish the exact circumstances."
