Two seriously hurt in double motorbike crash

Two people have been seriously injured in a crash involving two motorbikes.

Thames Valley Police said the two vehicles collided on Vastern Road in Reading, Berkshire, at about 02:15 BST.

Three people were believed to be on the bikes and one person failed to stop at the scene, said the force. Two people remain in hospital with serious injuries.

Vastern Road was closed between Caversham Road and George Street following the crash. The train station, car parks and nearby businesses remained open as usual.
