Bomb hoax arrest after homes evacuated
GoogleA man has been arrested on suspicion of a bomb hoax after several homes were evacuated in a village in Nottinghamshire.
Nottinghamshire Police said it was called to an address in Westdale Road in Jacksdale at about 07:50 BST on Thursday after a suspicious package was found outside.
The force said "out of caution" nearby properties were evacuated while explosive ordinance disposal engineers carried out further investigations. It confirmed the incident had been "safely resolved" and residents were able to return to their properties.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a bomb hoax and is being questioned by officers, police added.
