Part of the A1 in Lincolnshire was closed in both directions on Thursday following a crash involving two lorries and a car.

Lincolnshire Police said the incident happened at about 06:20 BST, close to Little Ponton, near Grantham.

There were no reports of any injuries but the road was closed for several hours due to "significant damage" to the central reservation, police said.

It was shut between the A607 and the B1174 junctions, with delays of up to 30 minutes in both directions on the approach, but all lanes were later reopened, National Highways said.

The three vehicles involved in the collision were a Volvo lorry, an Iveco lorry and an Audi Q6, a police spokesperson added.
