Leeds Festival 2026: What you need to know

Leeds Festival will return this weekend, with around 90,000 festivalgoers set to descend on the Bramham Park site.

Now in its 27th year, the festival - which is paired with Reading - will be headlined by Charli XCX, Chase & Status, Dave, Florence + The Machine, Fontaines D.C., Raye and Kasabian.

With more than 120 acts appearing across seven stages, the event runs from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 August.

Here is everything you need to know about what to expect.

The seven headliners will all be on the main stage, The Grid, at the following times:

• Thursday: Kasabian (21:20 GMT)
• Friday: Florence + The Machine (19:20), Chase & Status (21:30)
• Saturday: Charli XCX (19:10), Fontaines D.C. (21:20)
• Sunday: Raye (19:35), Dave (21:35)

Other highlights include London rapper Skepta, American singer-songwriter Sombr and indie rockers Blossoms.

Also on the bill are Geese, Role Model, Declan McKenna, Jade, Maisie Peters, Kneecap, The Lathums and Cruz Beckham and the Breakers.

There are nine campsites - including the Fields, which does not require an advanced booking for weekend camping ticket holders.

Kindred, Oasis, Vista and Willows are all pre-booked and sold out.

Lotus and Orchard offer Boutique and Premium VIP options, Glades is the festival's accessible campsite, while Trailer Park caters for camper vans.

Leeds Festival has seven stages - The Grid (main stage), The Gallery, The Warehouse, The Ballroom and The Canopy which are all housed in the main arena, while LS23 and Piccadilly Party are located in areas between campsites.

The arena opens from 17:00-00:30 on Thursday, then 11:00-00:30 on the three remaining days.

Bramham Park is located between Leeds and York, five miles (8km) south of Wetherby.

The nearest railway station is Leeds, and there are regular trains from major cities across England into Leeds, including Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and London.

Leeds Station is about a 30-minute drive from the festival site.

There is a shuttle bus service running between the festival and Sovereign Square Park in Leeds city centre - a short walk from the station - and also to and from Wetherby.

People are being asked to get their tickets in advance on the First Bus app.

Those who plan to be dropped off or collected from the site will need to use the dedicated pick up and drop off zone, located off York Road (A64).

There is a taxi rank based at Red Gate 1 - with organisers estimating a fare of between £25 and £40 to and from Leeds city centre.

The festival is also encouraging lift sharing as a travel option to save money.

There is an official lift share signup page, where festival goers can register as either a driver or passenger and be paired up with others.

The festival organisers and West Yorkshire Police have warned of travel disruption throughout the duration of the festival.

There will be a one-way system in place on York Road (A64) travelling westbound, to allow for the pick up and drop off zone.

This will operate from 04:00 on Wednesday 26 until 15:00 on Monday 31 August, between the Fox and Grapes pub and the A1(M)/A64 roundabout.

West Yorkshire Police have said several traffic management measures will be in place over the weekend on surrounding roads, including temporary speed restrictions, clearways and speed camera enforcement vans.

The nearby villages of Thorner and Aberford will also have strict road closures, with pass systems in place for permitted vehicles.

Early bird ticket holders can access the site from midday on Wednesday 26 August, while weekend ticket holders can get in from 03:00 on Thursday 27 August.

The campsite is then open 24 hours a day, and closes at midday on Monday 31 August.

Campfires and disposable BBQs are banned from both the campsite and the arena.

Other banned items include pyrotechnics, drones, laser pens, single-use vapes, candles and aerosols over 250ml.

A limited number of ticket options are still available to buy.

They include weekend camping, weekend non-camping and individual day tickets.

VIP ticket options and upgrades are also still available.

The weather forecast over the weekend is generally warm with some showers expected.

Temperatures are expected to reach highs of 20°C during the day, with night-time lows of 12°C.
