Venezuela Fury's wedding hairdresser says family were 'absolutely lovely'
Lynsey AustinA hairdresser from north Wales has spoken of her joy after being parachuted in to be a stylist at the wedding of Venezuela Fury, the daughter of boxer Tyson Fury.
Lynsey Austin typically serves clients that come from her hometown of Wrexham, but said she was shocked when she received a call from the Fury family two weeks before their big day.
Venezuela got married to Noah Price in a ceremony on the Isle of Man, where she wore a 40ft (12m) wedding train that was "too big" for a workshop.
Austin described the family as "down to earth" and said the impact on her business had been huge, with a flurry of bookings following the much publicised event.
Austin said she had had "one or two" celebrity booking in the past during her 19 years as the owner of LA Salon.
But she said this booking was by far the "main person" she had ever styled.
Austin received a call from Doll Beauty HQ, a salon in Chester, two weeks before the big day asking if she could produce the finger wave style that Venezuela desired.
The next thing she knew, Austin was being whisked off to prove that she could do the finger waving style before being taken to Fury's house so that Venezuela could make sure that she was happy with her work.
Lynsey AustinVenezuela, 16, and Noah's ceremony was held at the Victorian Royal Chapel of St John's in the Isle of Man.
The minimum age for marriage in England and Wales rose to 18 in 2023, but the legal age for marriage on the Isle of Man remains 16 with parental consent.
Austin said the Fury family were "absolutely lovely" and described them as "down to earth" people.
"It was just like going to meet a friend. They were brilliant," she added.
It was an overnight effort from the stylist, who was at the Fury's house until just after 01:00 BST on the day of the wedding prepping Venezuela's hair, before returning to the house a few hours later at sunrise to finish off the look.
"I was literally running on an hour and a half of sleep, but the adrenaline of the day keeps you going," she said.
Lynsey AustinWhilst Austin did not stay for the ceremony, she said Venezuela looked "beautiful" as she walked down the aisle after seeing the videos online.
"I felt like I was going to cry, because she just looked to stunning."
Since posting her own content from the wedding, Austin said her social media profiles had "blown up", with one video racking up three million views.
"It's absolutely crazy," added Austin.
