Man, 30, dies after car hits lamppost

A 30-year-old man has died after the car he was in crashed into a lamppost in Doncaster in the early hours of Tuesday.

Police said a silver Kia Sportage collided with the lamppost at the Blaxton roundabout on Mosham Road, at around 01:45 BST.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, officers added.

Police have not confirmed whether he was the driver of the car, or whether anyone else was in the vehicle.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has information or dashcam footage has been asked to contact officers.
