Two hundred cannabis plants found growing in home
West Mercia PoliceAbout 260 cannabis plants with an estimated value of £220,000 have been discovered growing in a Telford home.
West Mercia Police made the discovery after carrying out a warrant to search a property on Alma Avenue in Malinslee.
Nobody was in the property at the time, officers said, and inquiries were ongoing.
Sgt Matt Corfield said: "Cannabis farms of this scale are often linked to organised criminal groups and shutting them down helps protect our communities from the wider harm these operations cause."
He described the Telford Central and Donnington Safer Neighbourhood Team's work as "excellent".
"The discovery of more than £220,000 worth of plants shows just how important this warrant was, and I'd like to thank the officers involved for their professionalism and thoroughness."
Corfield added the force would continue to act on intelligence to identify those responsible.
