Darul Uloom Islamic High SchoolTributes have been paid to a 16-year-old cyclist who suffered fatal injuries when he was hit by a car in Birmingham.
Muhammad Ismail Alum died in hospital on Saturday after the crash at the junction of Cattell Road and Templefield Street, Small Heath, on 28 August.
The teenager's deputy head teacher at Darul Uloom Islamic High School said he was "a remarkable young man", who was "respectful, resilient, responsible and deeply caring".
Clyde Carey, 47, has been charged with causing Alum's death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene and causing death while uninsured, West Midlands Police said. He appeared before city magistrates on Monday.

Deputy head Hammaad Azhar said: "[Muhammad] was a much-loved son, relative, friend and student who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing sports and engaging wholeheartedly in his studies."
The 16-year-old had "memorised the entire Qur'an...led prayers... achieved outstanding GCSE results... and participated in numerous fundraising events to support those in need", Azhar added, saying his death was "an immeasurable loss".
"His kindness could be seen in the way he treated everyone around him," he continued.
"He was always willing to help and encouraged others to follow Islamic principles through his words and example.
"Although his life was tragically short, what he achieved and the example he set will leave a lasting legacy."
