Arrests after girl on bike seriously hurt in crash
GoogleA girl on a push bike was serious but stable in hospital, after a crash in Tamworth involving a motorbike that did not stop, police have said.
The Staffordshire force was called to a footpath across a playing field near Cambrian, following reports a black motorbike carrying a rider and passenger had been involved in a collision at about 16:10 BST on Monday.
The motorbike rider and passenger, described as wearing all black with balaclavas and no helmets, did not stop, police have said.
The force later said a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy had been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The boy has also been held on suspicion of driving while unfit through drink and driving while unfit through drugs.
The girl was taken to hospital by ambulance and her injuries were believed to be potentially life-changing, police said.
The force added it was keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened or who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage.
