Deaths of men found in car 'not suspicious'

The deaths of two men who were found 10 days after a fatal car crash are not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

William Hutchinson, 31, and Stuart Tallis, 27, were found inside a blue Peugeot 106 off the A584 Preston New Road, in Newton-with-Clifton, Lancashire, on 4 July.

Police said the pair's crashed car was "hidden from view in thick undergrowth", before it was found.

Officers had appealed for witnesses who saw the vehicle just before it crashed at 05:30 BST on 24 June.

Hutchinson was last seen on 24 June, in Preston, while Tallis was reported missing three days later.

Paying tribute previously, Hutchinson's family said he was a "proud father to two beautiful children" who had a "heart of gold", and was "truly one in a million".

Tallis's family said their "hearts are broken" but "we will cherish those memories forever and carry them with us every day".

A file on their deaths is now being prepared for the coroner.
