The A1014 The Manorway at Corringham has had congestion on the approach to the port

Long queues have built up around the London Gateway container port in Essex.

A worker at the neighbouring logistics park, who did not want to be named, said he believed the port's computer systems had gone down at about 03:00 BST.

On social media, HGV drivers reported being stuck in queues approaching the port, which is in Corringham, since 04:00 BST. Some stated they were three miles away.

London Gateway has been contacted for comment.
