Motorcyclist seriously injured in head-on crash

A motorcyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries in a head-on crash in an East Sussex village.

The crash happened in North Street in Hellingly on Saturday just before 22:00 BST and involved a motorbike travelling north and an Audi Q7 car driving south.

The motorcyclist, a 40-year-old man, is in hospital in a serious condition, the Sussex Police said.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Officers have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with information about the crash to contact them.
