Two women and a 16-year-old girl have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a teenager.

Gloucestershire Police were called to Clifton Road in Gloucester at about 12:15 BST on 13 April to reports that a 19-year-old woman had been attacked by three females who had been in a vehicle while she walked near Aldi.

The victim was taken to hospital with a black eye, a bloodied nose and bruising after being repeatedly punched in the head, but has since been discharged, police said.

A 20-year-old woman from Gloucester and a 55-year-old woman and 16-year-old girl, both from Churchdown, were arrested on suspicion of assault, but were released on conditional bail, police said.

Anybody who witnessed the incident or has information is asked to contact police.
