Aaron Hopper, 32 and of Winterbottom Avenue in Hartlepool, appeared at Teesside Crown court charged with one count of murder as well as attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to another man.

No pleas were entered and a trial was set for 30 November. He was remanded into custody to next appear on 27 July to enter pleas.
