A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his 30s was stabbed to death in a street.

It happened on Raby Street in the Moss Side area of Manchester at about 23:00 BST on Friday, police said.

The victim, Adrian Brown, known as Dre, was taken to hospital but died later from his injuries.

Greater Manchester Police said a 24-year-old man was being held for questioning and an 18-year-old man who was arrested on Saturday remained in custody.

Two other men, aged 25 and 38, and a woman, 26, have been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Det Ch Insp Louise Edward said the arrests marked a "significant step" in the investigation.

"We now have five people in custody," she said.

"Our officers are working at pace to establish the full circumstances as officers on scene are conducting investigations."

Police appealed for witnesses or anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, to get in touch.
