An alleyway in the Lace Market area of the city centre is cordoned off

An alleyway in Nottingham city centre has been taped off by police investigating the rape of a young woman.

Nottinghamshire Police said officers were called to Adams Walk, in the Lace Market, at about 02:46 BST on Saturday.

The force said the female victim was being supported by officers while investigations continue.

Anyone with information is asked to come forward.
