A blaze, which damaged four vehicles and killed four dogs, is being treated as suspicious, a fire service has said.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called to reports of three vans and a car on fire in Avery Way, Allhallows, at 00:40 GMT.

It said three people were treated by the ambulance service for smoke inhalation and minor burns.

Four fire engines and a bulk water carrier attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus used hose-reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Kent Police was also in attendance and has been contacted for comment.
