Appeal after car set alight in targeted arson attack
GooglePolice have appealed for information after a car was set alight in an arson attack in Langley Mill.
Derbyshire Police said two men set fire to a car in Minkley Drive at about 02:45 BST on Wednesday. The force said nobody was physically hurt, but added two properties were damaged by the arson attack.
Officers said the two men - who were wearing dark clothing with hooded tops - entered the street from Cromford Road, and then were seen leaving back on to Cromford Road and running off into an alley that leads onto Argyle Street.
Police said the incident was understood to have been targeted and there was no wider risk to the public.
However, it added an increased police presence would be seen in the area and anyone with concerns was urged to speak to officers.
The force said it was keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time – in particular anyone with CCTV from Cromford Road or Argyle Street – as well as anyone with dashcam footage from the area.
