Two arrested over street stabbing

Two men found with stab wounds in Cleethorpes have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, police have said.

Officers were called to reports of an altercation outside a fast food restaurant near Blundell Park at about 08:45 BST on Thursday.

The men, aged 26 and 39, were taken to hospital, with the younger man initially thought to have suffered life-threatening injuries.

On Thursday evening, Humberside Police said neither of the men were now in a life-threatening condition and both were in custody.

Two men were taken to hospital following the incident

Det Insp Tom Kelly said: "Since we received the report this morning, I have had officers on the ground conducting house to house and CCTV enquiries, as well as obtaining witness statements to determine the full circumstances around the incident."

A scene guard remains in place on Blundell Avenue as investigation continue, he added.
