Ghosts fans invited to sleepover at Button House
BBC/Bav MediaFans of the BBC comedy series Ghosts can now have a spooky sleepover in the fictional house where it is set.
The show is about married couple Alison and Mike Cooper, played by Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe, who inherit a medieval property - Button House - as well as a group of ghosts from different historical periods.
West Horsley Place, Surrey, where the programme is set, is hosting a series of events across different dates to celebrate the launch of the new feature film, Ghosts: The Possession of Button House.
Clare Clinton, director of the estate, said: "We are very excited about the new Ghosts film and we wanted to find a way to celebrate with fans.
"West Horsley Place is magical after dark, and we thought fans would enjoy spending a night where their favourite characters live."
Eva Yates, director of BBC Film, said the BBC was delighted to bring Ghosts back in October after three years away for a film which will be shown on big and small screens.
Saltwick Media /Bav MediaActivities for the £135 per head sleepover include after-dark film tours, ghost-themed cocktail, a silent disco and guests can view episodes at the manor house's library, the estate says.
Guests will sleep in the Stone Hall, the medieval Great Hall, where Henry VIII once feasted. It is also the setting as the main lounge in Button House.
Fans attending the adults-only sleepovers at West Horsley Place on selected dates in August, September, October and February, must bring sleeping bags and mats.
BBC/Bav MediaClinton said they hoped the experience would be a "fun" way for people to enjoy West Horsley Place, as well as help raise funds for its preservation.
Ghosts aired on BBC One from 2019 to 2023, running for five series and 34 episodes.
Its last episode drew 7.2 million viewers, and it was the UK's most-watched comedy series of 2023.
Robin Forster/Bav MediaWest Horsley Place dates back to 1425 and has more than 50 rooms.
It was privately owned and occupied by Mary, Duchess of Roxburghe, until she died in 2014.
The estate was left to her great-nephew, TV presenter and University Challenge quizmaster, Bamber Gascoigne.
Bamber and his wife Christina set up West Horsley Place Trust to preserve the historic house and opened it to the public.
