A14 closed near Cambridge following serious crash

The road has been closed between junction 31 Girton Interchange (London, Stansted Airport, M11; Cambridge, A1307) and junction 33 Milton Interchange (Milton, Ely A10)

The A14 near Cambridge has been closed eastbound following a serious collision.

National Highways said it was shut between junction 31, the Girton Interchange for the M11 and the A1307, and junction 33 at Milton.

The crash happened at about 13:40 BST, and Cambridgeshire Police are at the scene leading the response, it added.

A full investigation is being carried out that could take several hours.

The East of England Ambulance Service also attended, and National Highways traffic officers were working to release drivers caught within the closure, it added.

Drivers are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to plan ahead.
