Voters reminded to register ahead of by-election
BBCAnyone who did not register to vote in last year's general election in Guernsey but want to vote in Wednesday's by-election has until midnight to register.
Eleven candidates are standing to fill the seat vacated by the resignation of disgraced former Chief Minister Jonathan Le Tocq.
The by-election takes place on Wednesday 29 April with the main polling station at Beau Sejour and three additional polling stations at St Martin's Parish Hall, Castel Douzaine Room and Vale Douzaine Room.
Registrar General of Electors Colette Falla said she was "encouraging all islanders who didn't vote in the 2025 election" to register before the deadline.
"Whether you chose not to sign up last year, you were under 16 at the time or otherwise ineligible, this is an opportunity now to have your say in who is elected to the States Assembly," she said.
Polls open at 08:00 BST and close at 20:00.
The deadline for applying for postal votes has already passed.
