A man has been charged after the railway station collision

A man has been accused of attempted murder after a pedestrian was hit by a car outside Hastings railway station.

The pedestrian, 47, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after the collision on Wednesday afternoon and remains there in a critical condition, British Transport Police said.

Lee McGreevy, 48, of Priory Road, Hastings, has been charged with attempted murder.

He appeared before Brighton Magistrates' Court on Friday and the case was sent to Lewes Crown Court, with a further hearing listed for 7 August.
