Three vehicles have been involved in a crash on the A27 in West Sussex, with the road closed in both directions.

National Highways said one of the vehicles had overturned in the collision, which happened near Angmering overnight. Sussex Police has not yet provided details on injuries.

The closure is in place between the A284 near Crossbush and the A280 near Clapham, with emergency services at the scene. Contractors are also providing assistance with traffic management.

National Highways posted on social media: "Police investigations are ongoing. As of yet, there's no reopening time."

Traffic is being diverted via the A259, with drivers advised to follow the road diversion signs.

Road users have been urged to plan ahead, to allow extra journey time and consider alternative routes or delaying their journeys.
