Fifty firefighters tackle recycling centre blaze

Fire crews spent the night tackling a blaze involving 50 tonnes of shredded waste at a recycling centre.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to the site in Costessey near Norwich at about 17:40 BST on Thursday.

Eight appliances and 50 firefighters were there at the height of the incident.

The service said one crew remained at the scene on Friday morning and an investigation was under way.
