In pictures: Battle of Britain Dakota flypast
Royal Air Force MuseumA Dakota aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) has staged a flypast over the RAF Museum Midlands in Shropshire.
Crowds gathered to watch the three flypasts over the Cosford site from about 14:16 BST, the museum said.
"The museum is home to iconic aircraft from more than a century of RAF history, but there's nothing quite like seeing and hearing an historic aircraft like the Dakota flying overhead," a spokesperson said.
The BBMF operates from RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire and its mission is to keep historic aircraft airworthy as a living tribute to those who served during World War Two.
