Sunshine and showers greet autumn's arrival

As the calendar ticks past astronomical autumn, the weather has brought showers and a nip in the air along with the sunshine to show the seasons have well and truly changed.

As always, our BBC Weather Watchers have been out and about capturing the scenes cross north-east England and Cumbria.
