Main road closed after car ends up in hedge

A main road in Derbyshire has been closed after a car left the road and ended up on its side in a hedge.

Derbyshire Police said the A610 was closed after a crash at about 12:50 GMT near Cherrywood Smokehouse.

The force confirmed the road was closed between Codnor and Cromford Road at Aldercar.

It advised motorists to plan alternative routes and expect delays as traffic is diverted through Heanor.
