Norfolk man among six arrested at factory protest

Counter-terrorism police are leading an investigation into a protest at a drone factory in Leicestershire.

Six people, including a man from Norfolk, have been charged with burglary and causing criminal damage following a report a van was driven into the gates of the factory, understood to be UAV Tactical Systems, in Meridian Way, Braunstone, at about 03:10 BST on Friday.

The defendants, four men and two women, are each facing one count of burglary and one count of causing criminal damage.

The six are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday.

The investigation is being led by Counter Terrorism Policing East Midlands with the support of Leicestershire Police.

Police confirmed the arrests as follows:

  • Peter Jones, 41, of Alderfen Way, Hoveton, Norwich
  • Michael Sackur, 28, of Maltings Place, Reading
  • Megan Kennard, 25, of Fircroft Avenue, Lancing, West Sussex
  • Seirol Davies, 31, of Godwin Road, Margate, Kent
  • Rhae Rivers, 39, of Godwin Road, Margate, Kent
  • Hal Hockney, 27, of Alkham Road, Hackney, London
