Crash shuts A35 both ways near Bridport

A stretch of a major route through Dorset has been closed after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in the early hours.

National Highways said the crash on the A35 near Bridport happened at about 03:50 BST.

The road has been closed both ways between the A3066 and the B3157 - the Crown Roundabout and the East Road Roundabout

Drivers are being urged to allow extra time for the journey and follow the diversions with traffic re-routed through Bridport and back on to rejoin the A35.
