Shop evacuated after car smashes through front

A supermarket in Nottinghamshire has been evacuated after a car crashed through the glass front.

Police said officers were called to the Morrisons supermarket in Victoria Park Way, Netherfield, at 16:06 BST on Tuesday to reports it had been struck by a vehicle.

No-one was injured, Nottinghamshire Police said, but the store was evacuated while the building was checked for structural damage.

The public has been asked to avoid the area while safety and recovery work is carried out.
