A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a street assault.

Devon and Cornwall Police said emergency services were called to the Curtis Street area in Plymouth, Devon, at about 10:20 BST on Sunday and found a man with injuries described as not life-threatening.

Police said two men and three women were arrested following the incident, but an update on Monday from the force said one of the women had been released with no further action taken.

The other arrested people have been bailed pending further inquiries, the force added. Anyone with information has been asked to contact officers.
