Eight retail units and three flats will be built on the site of The Bagot Arms

The site of a former pub that was the scene of a fatal shooting more than a decade ago is to be re-developed.

The Bagot Arms in Whitmore Reans has been shut ever since father of two Luke Harris was shot dead in March 2008.

Plans have now been approved for eight shops on the ground floor, with three one-bedroom flats above, along with an enclosed car park for 30 vehicles.

The application by developers Poplars MP stated the shops would not be open before 07:00 or after 23:00, the Local Democracy Reporting Service confirmed.

Poplars MP has handed out flyers to get the public's opinion on the design of the development.
