What is the British-Irish Council?
BBCGuernsey is playing host to the 45th British-Irish Council (BIC) this week.
Representatives from the governments of Ireland, Scotland, Jersey, Northern Ireland, Wales, the Isle of Man and the UK will be in attendance.
The theme for the summit is: "Nurturing beginnings: Strengthening early years and family support for happy, healthy childhoods and lifelong wellbeing".
It's the sixth time Guernsey has hosted the conference.
What is the point of the BIC?
The BIC describes the meeting as an "opportunity" for political leaders "to brief each other on topical political developments".
It was established in 1998 as part of the Good Friday Agreement to promote good, practical, positive, and mutually beneficial relations between the governments.
This conference's subject matter is especially poignant at the moment for Guernsey's States having highlighted "shaping and strengthening the focus on early years and families" as one of its super-priorities for this political term.
It's expected some of the discussion at the conference would surround recent moves by the UK Government to ban social media for under 16s.
Who is attending?
That remains a closely guarded secret because of security.
But I can confirm it is not Taylor Swift, David Lammy, Prince Harry or Sir Keir Starmer, as has been rumoured.
President of Guernsey's Policy and Resources Committee Lindsay de Sausmarez will be hosting the conference.
She's already been to one summit as the island's top politician in Cardiff, hosted by the Welsh Government.

Who picks up the bill?
Guernsey will pay for hosting the conference.
However it won't cover the cost of foreign delegations visiting.
Officials at Guernsey's States say they will only be able to say how much it has cost to put on the event after it has finished.
Guernsey has previously hosted it in 2004, 2010, 2014, 2018, and most recently in 2022.
What happens on the day?
The set-piece moment of the BIC is usually a press conference with all of the delegates behind a table answering questions from journalists.
Behind closed doors meetings will take place between officials.
The full agenda has not been released to the media though.
