Woman raped in daylight attack at Fife park

A woman has reported being raped in a daylight sex attack at a Fife Park.

Police were called to Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline at about 18:15 on Tuesday.

The scene has been sealed off since the incident and uniformed officers remain at the cordon.

Police Scotland said the investigation was in its early stages and the force has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson said: "Officers will remain in the area while investigations are carried out.

"Anyone with any concerns, or information, is asked to approach them or contact 101."
