Second motorway closure for sculpture repairs
Portsmouth City CouncilA motorway section will be closed again to allow for the removal of a damaged landmark.
The 43m (141ft) Tri-Sail or Sails of the South sculpture, which stands between the M275 carriageways in Portsmouth, is due essential repairs after two of its panels were torn in recent storms.
To remove them safely, Portsmouth City Council will close the M275 northbound from Rudmore Roundabout to Tipner, between 23:00 GMT and 05:00 GMT on Monday and Tuesday, and into Wednesday.
Diversions will be in place. Previous closures took place on 18 and 19 April for inspection works.
A council spokesperson said the overnight works "will avoid any disruption to traffic at rush hour".
They added the panels would be replaced during the summer.
