The burst water main has disrupted supplies in the OX14 postcode area

Water supplies are being disrupted and a school has been forced to close after a water main burst in Oxfordshire.

Homes and businesses in the OX14 postcode area have no water or low pressure after a pipe broke near Sutton Courtenay. St Blaise CofE Primary School in Milton, Abingdon, is closed.

Thames Water said the damaged pipe was being isolated to stop the flow of water and allow its teams to fix the main.

The water firm has thanked customers for their patience and apologised for the inconvenience.

Thames Water said bottled water was being delivered to residents registered on its Priority Services Register.

The water firm said: "If you or someone you know needs a little extra support, our free Priority Services Register can help us to understand your situation so we can take it into account as best we can."
